Actigraphy
The Actigraphy series of works are a collection of paintings and textiles rendering raw data unreadable. This is an ongoing project.
Actigraphy is a visual representation of data collected by the portrait’s subject over a defined period of time. By intentionally removing all interpretive keys, the viewer is presented with an abstract document of undefinable data, challenging traditional perceptions of legibility and meaning.
The deliberate obfuscation of the data, compels the viewer to engage with the work on a purely contemplative level, divorced from conventional narrative constructs transforming deeply personal data into a universal - yet indefinable - chronicle, inviting reflections on the nature of identity, temporality, and the elusive boundaries of information.
The subject has chosen to remain unacknowledged.
