A quantum physicist, an engineer and an artist walk into the ANU bar… You’ll have to wait until April 2022 for the punchline.
I am so very excited to have been offered a place as Maker in Residence at the Australian National University MakerSpace, an interdisciplinary program crossing Physics, Engineering and Fine Art.
The MakerSpace is a community and network of spaces across the ANU with access and training in a variety of digital and traditional fabrication tools. The Maker in Residence program offers three months of cross-collaboration with access to all the tools, training and expertise available at MakerSpace.
ANU MakerSpace is a commons for curiosity – a truly research-led environment, furnished with resources for makers like myself to experiment, investigate, prototype, and solve problems. I can’t wait to see what we can achieve while I’m there.
Would it be weird to refer to embroidery and knitted works as String Theory after this residency? Asking for a friend.
